6/11/2008 - Two residents have died in an influenza outbreak at a South Australian nursing home, health authorities say.

The two died in recent days at the Barossa Village aged care facility at Nuriootpa, north of Adelaide.

SA Health says 127 anti-flu doses have since been dispensed to residents and staff at the home.

Some 11 residents and several staff have shown flu symptoms, with two cases confirmed.

Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing officers visited the nursing home on Tuesday to check on how the flu outbreak has been handled.
