Elm Scientific Pty Ltd - The CYTOLIFT glass airlift bioreactor is a cost-effective device for cell and tissue cultures. Unlike plastic airlift bioreactors, the CYTOLIFT glass airlift bioreactor can be reused by simply cleaning and autoclaving.

The CYTOLIFT bioreactor is useful for all of the standard airlift applications including suspension tissue culture, insect cell cultures, microcarrier tissue culture of anchorage-dependent cells and photosynthetic culture of plant cells and blue-green algae.

The glass jacket is standard on all CYTOLIFT bioreactors. It facilitates benchtop cell and tissue incubation at elevated temperatures as well as the suspension of cell growth by operating at subambient temperatures.

Features of CYTOLIFT® Glass Airlift Bioreactor:

  • Removable polypropylene end caps for easy cleaning.
  • A check valve under the steel sparging stone to prevent backward flow of media if the gas pressure drops.
  • A CTFE valve in the base with 1/4"-28 female thread for on-off and flow rate control of the gas supply.
  • A sample port with a 1/4"-28 male thread, cap and septum.
  • An infusion port on the top of the bioreactor for continuous addition of culture medium.
  • An effluent port for collection of cells during continuous infusion.
  • A vent port with tubing and a foam filter to prevent contamination of the bioreactor.
  • Three 5/16" O.D. ports for pH, foam level, and dissolved oxygen probes.
