Avita Medical - Q: Can it be taken apart?

A: Yes, the Funhaler® can be easily disassembled / reassembled into 5 parts.

Q: How do I wash it and how often?

A: The Funhaler® spacer chamber, one-way valve and spinner should be washed each week in clean water with dish-washing detergent and allowed to drain and dry without rinsing (instructions are included with the Funhaler®).

Q: Is my 2 year old, old enough to use it?

A: The Funhaler® is suitable for use for children 18 months and over.

Q: Will it fit my pMDI (Puffer)?

A: The Funhaler® fits all major pMDI’s (puffers) without needing adaptors

Q: Will it improve delivery of my child’s medication?

A: Clinical trials have been conducted and resulted in a higher compliance and effectiveness of medication delivery using the Funhaler® unit. Further information in regards to these trials can be found on our publications web page.

Q: Do I have to use the mask?

A: Some older children may be able to use the mouthpiece rather than the mask. It is recommended that school-age children use the mouthpiece rather than the mask.
