Select Sewing was established in March 1981 by Karin and Peter Oitzinger, as a 100% Australian-owned manufacturer of general hospital linen and gowns. It now supplies a wide range of standard hospital and surgical linen and gowns, as well as the more recently introduced ranges of "fashion theatre wear" and "modern patient wear".
As a member of the Australian Health Industry Development Forum (AHIDF), Select Sewing spent the 1990's actively working towards the introduction of new textiles, which will meet the growing challenges of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Select Sewing now manufactures in Australia a comprehensive range of RBF (Reusable Barrier Fabric) theatre gowns, suits, footwear, headwear, drapes, wraps etc., all with excellent fluid resistance giving you the theatre wear of tomorrow, today.
