ELECTRIC SIT/STAND DESK STUDY: Work habits on the introduction of Sit/Stand technology over the initial five week period

OBJECTIVE: To establish use patterns of Sit/Stand technology over the initial five weeks of use

We installed six Electric Sit / Stand Desks into our Silverwater office.
All desks were also fitted with either a M5 or M7 Monitor Arm.
Staff were given the opportunity to Sit or Stand as they felt most comfortable and to record their preference in half hour increments.
This was then monitored over the first twenty five days of use and the results are presented below.
Each participant was also asked for their individual feedback.

Table A - Overview by Subject -
This shows the total hours spent on each action by individual on a daily basis.
Table B - Total Sit/Stand % per Subject -
The total hours spent by subject on each action and a % of Sit to Stand for the time spent at the desk.
Table C - Total Period Preferred Action -
The combined actions individuals chose in half hour increments over the total time.
Table D - Hours by Day Total -
The total hours spent per day on each action and the % of Sit to Stand for the time spent at the desk.
Table E - Hours Standing by Day -
Total hours spent standing as a group by day of the week.
