Laboratory Instruments

Standard laboratory instruments include tools such as petri dishes, pipettes, test tubes, beakers, reagent bottles, microtiter plates, thermometers and bunsen burners, as well as speciality equipment such as microscopes, spectrophotometers and calorimeters.  Laboratory fridges are also used to store laboratory products, cultures and samples at controlled temperatures, and typically have audio-visual alarm systems and corrosion-resistant interiors to minimise the risk of contamination or corrosion of contents.
