Surgical Lasers

Laser surgery uses narrow beams of concentrated light to remove diseased tissue and cauterise blood vessels. Types of lasers include argon lasers, carbon dioxide lasers and Neodymium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet lasers. Widely used in cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, gastroenterology, gynaecology, neurosurgery, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, pulmonology and urology, surgical lasers also have a variety of cosmetic applications such as erasing birthmarks, skin discolorations and wrinkles, and for hair removal.
