The Nanosonics Trophon EPR

The Trophon EPR, is a device specifically designed to disinfect intra and extra cavity ultrasound probes. Nanosonics is an ASX listed medical device company.

Nanosonics engaged Tiller Scientific + Medical more than 4 years ago to design and develop the Trophon with its internal staff and external stakeholders. In that time we have held a key role within Nanosonics in the area of product design and development, testing support and transition to production.

Working closely with Scientists, Managers, Production engineers and key stakeholders we integrated into Nanosonics a dedicated design team who worked seamlessly to strict ISO 13485 design control.

Tasks included R&D support, conceptual development, materials compatibility and selection, component testing, detail design and release of the data pack for production release of the device, evaluation and reporting of tooling samples, reporting and working closely with all facets of the Nanosonics business and its employees.

Our team also supported and continues to support the implementation of production and commitment to quality.

Together Nanosonics and the Tiller scientific and medical team have delivered to the world a device offering significant advantages in the sterilization and disinfection market. The success of the Trophon project is a testament to the strength of Australian design and innovation in the medical device space.

  • The Trophon EPR can be integrated into most examination rooms to ensure easy and effective use between patients
    
• Easy and safe management of consumables
  • The disinfectant cartridge is enclosed within the device and contains enough biocide for multiple disinfection cycles. Cartridge replacement is located behind one easily accessible automated door at the side on the machine. Changing cartridges is a quick, clean and easy process.
