A formal training plan, based on training needs assessments of staff, is developed annually. Staff are thus provided with opportunities to improve their individual skills and knowledge and are encouraged to provide input into service improvement.
United Hospitality is committed to providing training to support the following key areas:
- Accredited food handler courses for all kitchen staff
- Accredited Food Safety Supervisor training, for senior kitchen staff
- Reinforcement of food hygiene training through annual refresher courses
- Occupational Health and Safety Training (including manual handling)
- Chemical Safety Training
Each year, the training received will be evaluated for its effectiveness and the training needs of current staff reviewed as an ongoing part of United continuous improvement processes.
