An Orthopanthomogram (OPG) is an x-ray film which shows a panoramic view of the mandible (jaw) and teeth. This special x-ray film is taken on a machine called a Planmeca.

How an OPG is taken? 

You will be required to stand in front of the Planmeca with your hands on the handles, your chin on the support rest and your teeth resting in the groove of the bite guide. When you are in position, the camera will rotate from right to left of your face. It takes approximately 15 seconds to complete and is painless.

Billing Policy

For the convenience of our patients, we are now offering online claiming of the Medicare rebate on the day of the procedure. Our patients will no longer have to claim the rebate themselves at the Medicare office.
