New perspective for dental practices and laboratories.

Price Guide (Inc GST): POA

Digital technology has already proven to be of value in many medical fields. The production of dental prostheses using CAD/CAM is already firmly established in many dental laboratories.

Now the entire process chain, from taking conventional impressions in the dental practice through to producing the final restoration in the lab, can be increasingly digitalized with CEREC Connect.

1.1 Method

Take the next innovative step and see for yourself, how easy and precise digital impressions are with CEREC Connect.

Fewer processing steps in the dental practice and laboratory mean greater reliability

  • No materials-related and application-related inaccuracies (bubbles, tears, gaps in the preparation margin)
  • No risk of incorrect mixing and non-compliance with the prescribed mixing, impression and setting times
  • No need for disinfection, storage and packaging
  • No uncontrolled expansion and contraction of the impression material before, during and after transport

The conventional impression and subsequent model production belong to the most labor intensive and error prone processes in dental practices and laboratories. The optical digital impression facilitates precision and minimizes possible sources of error.

Taking optical digital impressions with CEREC Connect is an innovative, precise alternative to conventional dental impressions. The intraoral digital data are calculated to make a 3D model and sent directly via internet to a dental laboratory of choice. This alleviates for many patients the unpleasant experience of traditional dental impressions.

This modern method of model production offers dental laboratories wide ranging flexibility to produce the final restoration: with their own inLab system, an inLab partner lab or via a central CAD/CAM production facility. The restoration can also be made with CEREC Connect in the conventional manner.

1.4 Indications and Materials

With CEREC Connect already more than 50% of all indications are digitally viable.
With an increasing trend.

Initially, CEREC Connect will cater for single tooth restorations such as inlays, onlays, veneers, anatomically sized crowns and framework based crowns. A system upgrade for multiple-unit restorations is under preparation.
