Insufflation - Colonoscopy from Olympus

ECR Endoscopic CO2 Regulator
The Olympus ECR is designed to provide safe, reliable CO2 insufflation during colonoscopic procedures, in an easy-to-use unit, controlled by a single ’on/off’ control.

The ECR attaches to the endoscope supply tube by means of a ’quick lock’ connector, and a flow indicator provides visual confirmation that CO2 is being delivered.
Gas cylinder status is monitored by means of a bottle contents gauge on the front panel, and a warning indicator shows red should the outlet pressure exceed a pre-set limit.

Safety is assured through the inclusion of two safety valves and a separate combined pressure relief valve.

The ECR accepts ’E’ size CO2 cylinders with a pin index fitting to BS 1319 in its integral housing, and the unit is fitted with four castors for easy mobility.
