Anti-Fog insert avoids fogging even under extreme conditions
Laser safety goggles are constructed in a way that enables them to fulfil two major expectations. On the one hand they have to resist incident laser radiation to ensure the best protection for the user, but they should also provide the highest possible comfort.
This can be achieved by low weight, good fit and the highest possible VLT (Visual Light Transmission). Independence of the frame style and protection against fogging/steaming is also desired.
Anti-Fog protection is already considered in the design of the frame of the laser safety goggle by equipping it with laser safe ventilation openings. These vents provide a high circulation of air and therewith an effective protection against fogging or steaming.
Under extreme circumstances, such as working in humid environments or working for long periods, the air ventilation of the goggle is not enough to prevent fogging. For these situations LASERVISION has now developed a special Anti-Fog insert.
A plastic sheet coated with nanoparticles absorbs humidity and avoids saturation of the air with water vapour. Consequently a sequestration of water and therewith a fogging of the goggle is impossible.
The anti – fog insert can be purchased as a subsequent enhancement of the Laser goggle type PROTECTOR and is easily inserted.
