The PhoneALERT Home Emergency Call System is ideal for seniors, elderly parents, those with medical or mobility problems, or indeed anyone living alone who may have concerns about being able to get to the phone for assistance should an emergency arise.
This simple phone system provides assurance to both user and their family that in an emergency situation the user can call for help without the need to get to their phone. It also eliminates the need for expensive monthly monitoring fees associated with back to base Emergency Call services.
The Phone unit also has many additional features which make it an ideal choice for users with reduced mobility, poor hand dexterity or poor hearing.
Operation The PhoneALERT Emergency Call System consists of a large button telephone unit combined with a waterproof remote emergency call pendant which can be worn either on a lanyard around the users neck or on a band around the wrist (both included with phone). The pendant has a range of up to 30 metres from the base unit.
The PhoneALERT has a Phonebook Memory which stores up to 30 names & numbers. The user is able to program any of these numbers to be dialled as Emergency Contact Numbers, and to nominate the order in which the phone will dial those numbers in an emergency situation.
When the red button on the Pendant is pressed for 3 seconds (or the SOS button on the phone unit) the phone is activated to dial the number nominated as Location #1 Emergency Contact Number and send a pre-recorded message. If this number is not answered within 60sec, the phone disconnects and dials Location #2 Emergency Contact Number and so on.
The person answering hears a message that assistance is required, and is instructed to press "0" to accept the call. This then opens the phone line so that the person answering is able to talk to the user via the speaker phone. They can then decide what further action is required.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES: Remote HANDSFREE speaker phone with no need to pick up handpiece - answer calls by pushing the red button on the Pendant OR the SPEAKER button on the phone unit.
Adjustable amplified receiver provides up to 20dB extra loud earpiece amplification and contains an inbuilt inductive coupler which offers Hearing Aid users a clearer sound.
Talking Keypad speaks out the numbers as they are pressed.
Large Keypads with high contrast tactile number pads.
Large backlit LCD display screen shows call duration timer and date/ time.
