How long the treatment takes?
Improvement may be seen after 4 weeks of treatment. The best results are seen after 3 –12 months of treatment.
For how long should Mapiform should be worn?
It’s recommended that you should wear Mapiform throughout the entire day, except when you need to wash and dry the scar area.
How old can the scar be for Mapiform to be effective?

Are there any precautions I should take?
Mepiform should only be used on healed wounds. The skin should be dry when dressing is applied. If itching or discomfort occurs remove Mapiform and contact your doctor or therapist.
How to use Mapiform?
- Wash the scar tissue with mild soap and water. Make sure the area is complete dry before applying Mepiform.
- If necessary cut the appropriate size allowing at least 1 cm border around the scar.
- Remove the release film and apply over the scar. Avoid starching when applying over joints.
Change dressing when required. Wear time will vary from 3-7 days depending upon individuals.
