The dressings do not contain any adhesive but they stick to the skin through the natural tackiness of the gel material.
This offers the advantage of no unpleasant residue on the skin on removal. It does however sometimes make the dressing difficult to remove from the acetate backing sheet. This sheet is removed by gently and slowly peeling from the sides.
If the dressing becomes sticky at the edges then a small amount of plain talc can be
dusted on the edge.
