Surflo IV Catheters has superior catheter and needle tip design. The point of the introducing needle is cut and honed to an ultra-sharp triple bevel that minimizes patient discomfort and tissue trauma. The gently tapered catheter tip aligns with the needle bevel to provide smooth transition from needle to catheter during insertion.
The Terumo logo located on the upper surface of the flashback chamber serves as a needle bevel indicator. This permits precise bevel alignment even after venepuncture has been initiated.
The case of the catheter is colour-coded for easy identification of the catheter gauge and has a tamper-evident seal for additional safety.
The Surflo IV Catheter is latex free.

Terumo's unique technology makes medical treatment kinder and gentler.
Established in 1921 by a group of physicians led by Dr. Shibasaburo Kitasato, Terumo was founded to produce Japan's first quality thermometers. Then as now, the mission of the company was to contribute to society through medicine, by supporting medical progress in the service of health for all.
From those early days of thermometers, Terumo went on to develop such innovations as the world's first hollow fiber Oxygenator and Japan's first disposable medical products. The company today produces a wide range of products, and supplies them to more than 150 countries worldwide.
