Rotational Chair testing provides versatility in measuring the Vestibularocular Reflex (VOR). The System 2000 Reclining Rotational Chair is engineered to deliver precisely controlled stimuli and superior waveform detail while utilising Firewire Infrared video recording to discriminate the extent and progress of peripheral and central vestibular disorders

With the chair in the 90 degree position shown to the left, the clinician can complete the following tests shavor tests:

  • VOR 0.01 to 0.64 Hz (20 d/s to 100 d/s)
  • Visual Enhancement of the VOR (VVOR)
  • Visual Suppression of the VOR (VFX)
  • Trapezoidal Velocity Step Test (100 d/s to 200 d/s)

Ocularmotor Tests

  • Smooth Pursuit
  • Saccade
  • Optokinetic

Firewire Goggles

The innovative binocular design of the goggles includes the following key features:

  • Mirrors are mounted below eye level to reduce eyelid and eyelash interference
  • Integrated external focus knob
  • Full field of view
  • Comfortable and light weight goggle weighing only 8 oz; with cover removed, 10.5 oz with cover
  • Designed to utilise high speed Firewire cameras

Programming and analysis presentation are the nucleus of the System 2000.

Rotational chair testing utilising Spectrum Software aids in the identification of vestibular problems not apparent with typical VNG/ENG testing protocols. The reclining model of our System 2000 Rotational Chair completes the standard rotational chair testing protocol and ocular motor tests while the seat back is at 90 degrees, reclines to 30 degrees for caloric testing and further reclines to full supine.

For added safety, rotation inhibitor technology assures yaw stability when the seat back is reclined.

Programming and analysis presentation are the nucleus of the System 2000.

Rotational chair testing utilizing Spectrum Software aids in the identification of vestibular problems not apparent with typical VNG/ENG testing protocols.

Recline the chair to 0 degrees (left) and remove the head rest to complete Positional and Dix Hallpike testing. This position also facilitates Canalith Repositioning manoeuvres.
