To meet the diverse needs and demands of today's healthcare providers, Pentax has developed a growing family of Specialty Scopes in the field of Gastroenterology.
EG-2930Q - Oblique view upper-GI endoscope with elevator
The EG-2930Q has an oblique viewing angle of 450, a slim 9.8mm insertion tube housing a 2.8mm diameter instrument channel, and presents an angular field of view of 130°.
In addition, the instrument is equipped with an accessory elevator. It is this combination of useful features that makes the endoscope particularly well-suited for routine applications.
The EG-2930Q is able to provide images of a quality difficult to achieve using a conventional forward-viewing endoscope.
Slim insertion tube - wide 130° angular field of view
This gastroscope has an insertion tube with an outer diameter of 9.8mm and a wide 130° field of view obliquely aligned at 45°.
These features greatly facilitate orientation during examination and make the EG-2930Q an ideal oblique-viewing endoscope for routine use.
2.8mm instrument channel with accessory elevator
The slim 9.8mm insertion tube houses a 2.8mm diameter instrument channel and features an accessory elevator. The elevator in particular, makes direct biopsy and endoscopic treatment of the target area feasible.
The Pentax 30 Series features a newly designed, fully encapsulated elevator control wire which eliminates the risk of exposing the elevator control wire channel to potentially contaminated patient material.
Enhanced ergonomic design
The PVE connector is equipped with a rotatable plug which reduces umbilical cable strain and allows the endoscope to be operated for longer periods without experiencing hand fatigue.
The rotatable connector not only reduces the likelihood of the umbilical cable twisting or kinking, it also simplifies both handling and the placing of the endoscope into various cleaning devices.
