Description The WanderALERT Portable Underbed Detectors use a PIR Sensor to alert staff when a frail or wandering resident gets out of their bed. They are designed as a portable unit for use in a bedroom, typically placed low to the ground adjacent to the bed.
The PUBD unit consists of a plastic enclosure fitted with the infrared motion sensor, mounted on a moulded plastic stand with carry handle. The PIR Sensor can trigger any type of Call Point with remote inputs. It has a 4 way connector on top with terminals for +ve and -ve 12Volt power, as well as dry contacts which enable fitting of suitable wiring or a modified Call Point Pendant lead as required.
It has a handheld Remote Control unit with two switches (green ON and red OFF) to enable staff access to the room without triggering an alarm.
The PRUBD unit has a Radio Call Point mounted on the reverse side of the stand. This is a plastic plate with a blue RESET button and a red BYPASS button. There are also three LED indicators: green ARMED, red TRANSMIT and red SUPPLY ON. The radio output is set to the room or bed number as required, and operates into our ScanALERT Radio Nurse Call System.
