These precision-manufactured needles reduce the occurrence of undesirable microneedling side effects such as bruising, swelling and significant downtime.

The XCellaris PRO TWIST treatment tip is sealed by a patented spring that ensures the handpiece is not contaminated by fluids. Featuring a flexible needle plate, XCellaris PRO TWIST adapts to the skin surface to maximise treatment precision and avoid unnecessary injury to the skin.

The Fastest Microneedling Technology On The Market
At 150 strokes per second, the XCellaris PRO TWIST can safely glide over the skin without scratching or tearing the skin. Needle depth is adjustable between a penetration depth from 0-2.5mm. Poor quality microneedling pens traditionally operate at 100-120 strokes per second. This slower insertion rate can cause scratches and micro-tears in the tissue as the tip moves across the face.

Active Needle Retraction
XCellaris PRO TWIST is innovatively non-ablative to avoid epidermal damage. During treatment the handpiece actively retracts the needles from the skin between insertions. This is referred to as 'atraumatic penetration' and is used to displace the skin, rather than traumatically puncturing the skin. The result is a reduction in unnecessary skin trauma, reducing the potential for treatment side effects and minimising the client’s pain sensation.

A needling tip with too many needles will require significantly more pressure from the clinician in order to penetrate the skin to the appropriate depth. Compact and low in noise and vibration, XCellaris PRO TWIST is paired with a lightweight handpiece that is easy to use and clean.

Unlike other needling devices, the XCellaris PRO TWIST motor is not located within the handpiece itself and instead features as part of an ergonomic workstation and foot pedal system. What happens during an XCellaris PRO TWIST treatment?
Once the treatment tip length has been adjusted in accordance with the treatment indication and area, microneedles are applied to the skin by motor power that moves a needle module up and down with a high frequency.

The needles enter the skin 50-150 times per second, triggering the body’s natural healing process. As a result, stimulation of cell production is accelerated, and the formation of new collagen begins. This results in a thicker, more supple, cellular matrix.

Is an XCellaris PRO TWIST treatment painful?
