The Wombat is Atherton’s stainless-steel cylindrical steam generator. Designed in Australia, the Wombat provides high quality steam suitable for powerful equipment like washer-disinfectors or sterilizers when your other steam solutions fail. It’s also perfect for use in laboratories where high-quality steam supply is required.

Features of this product

Meets Australian Standards: The Wombat is designed and manufactured in Australia in accordance with standards AS/ NZS4187 and EN 285 so you always know you’re getting high quality steam.
Fully automatic: Fully automatic, the Wombat doesn’t need to be supervised during operation.
Easy maintenance: The Wombat doesn’t need much maintenance. Simply blow-down the unit at regular intervals by opening a valve on the unit to remove any deposit buildup in the boiler shell.
Incoloy elements: Consisting of a horizontal boiler shell fabricated for boiler plating, the Wombat’s boiler shell houses a bank of Incoloy elements giving the unit resistance against corrosion and strength at high temperatures. The elements are insulated against heat loss and accessed easily via the boiler inspection plate.
Built-in controls: The Wombat comes fitted with an automatic water level control low water safety cut-off for element protection, a pressure gauge, pressurestat element control, a blow-down valve, safety valve, on/off switch, water feed tank and pressure booster pump. The boiler shell is also fitted with an easily replaceable sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion.
Built to last: Thanks to its stainless steel construction, the Wombat has been built to last.

Optional Extras & Accessories

Blow-Down Receiver: When the generator is blown-down, discharge consists of steam and high temperature hot water. The blow-down receiver acts as an expansion tank and cools the discharge to an acceptable level.
