Dear Customers,
We are pleased to inform you that we are planning to upgrade the IHB Indicator and %IHB to IHB/AFib
Indicator and %IHB/AFib soon. AFib (Atrial Fibrillation) is an arrhythmia that can lead to stroke and
other heart-related complications. Through a joint study with Jichi Medical University, we have achieved
100% accurate detection of AFib in a single measurement by changing the software parameters. Please
refer to the clinical paper at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jch.13076/epdf .
- Products with the IHB/AFib Indicator;
UA-704, 705, 1020, 1020-W, 1030T, 1030T-W, 651BLE, UB-525, 542 and 543
- Products with the %IHB/AFib;
UA-767S, 767S-W, 767F, 767F-W, 767JP and UB-533
Products with the new software is expected to be available from August 2018 (you may receive the upgraded
products earlier for some models).
?IHB/AFib Indicator?
When the A&D monitor detects an irregular rhythm during measurement, an IHB/AFib icon will appear on the display after measurement.
?%IHB/AFib?
For the products with %IHB/AFib, the frequency of IHB/AFib detection will be shown with a clear icon showing the frequency of the IHB/AFib detection.
(1-9%, 10-24%, and 25%-100%)
This screening function (patent pending) and indication is helpful for early detection and early treatment of AFib.
