Indications & Contraindications

Approved for patients 22 years and older with moderate to severe dry eye due to MGD on Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV (AU & US), and I–V (EU).
Contraindications include recent ocular or eyelid surgery, uncontrolled eye disorders, skin cancers or lesions in treatment area, certain infections and neurological disorders, photosensitive medications, recent radiation/chemotherapy, and a history of seizures, migraines, or herpes in treatment area.

Safety & Side Effects

Common side effects: transient redness, mild discomfort, or swelling; rare risks include changes in skin pigmentation or texture, bruising and rare burns.
Strict use guidelines must be followed; practitioner and patient safety ensured with protective eyewear and adherence to protocols.
